Full-Stack and AI expertise for your next hard problem.
I'm Rebecca, a Lustre core team member and software engineer since 2015. I help teams ship applications, adopt AI in ways that work sustainably, and introduce Gleam into existing systems.

Practical help, wherever you need it
Exploring Gleam or the BEAM, building with Lustre, or stuck on a difficult problem? Bring me in for a specific piece of work.
Build your application
Turn an idea into a working application, or bring me into an existing project. I not only work across Gleam stacks, but bring a wide array of experience from tiny PHP scripts to big ASP.NET applications your team can rely on.
Get an expert review
A tricky bug, slow code, or an architecture decision holding things up? I'll investigate with you, explain the findings, and help prioritise and implement the changes.
Make it ready to run
Get help with packaging, deployment, CI/CD, and failures that only appear in production. Leave with a repeatable release process and documentation for the people operating it.
Help your team learn
Pairing, focused workshops, and guidance on Gleam, OTP, Lustre, and practical AI use. We'll work with your code and workflows so your team can apply what it learns, or we can find opportunities to automate.

B2B commerce & integration solutions
I rebuilt our ERP integration software for Shopware, Shopify, and Magento. Taking over a 10+ year-old codebase, I modernised and rebuilt it incrementally, turning it from our hardest to debug systems to our most stable.
Additionally I am responsible for all in-house Shopware and PHP work, developing customer and client-facing extensions. I also develop and deploy testing strategies and am one of the driving forces behind the push towards test-driven development.
Responsible AI use
I provide AI consulting and act as the company's AI officer for the EU AI Act, organising AI opportunities and safety workshops and training. I help design, implement, and improve AI-assisted development and sales processes.
Getting AI to work well in practice is hard. I help cautiously optimistic teams weigh the benefits against the costs, risks, and effects on people. Part of that work is questioning whether AI belongs in a process at all.

audaris
I built cross-platform vehicle photography apps with AI-assisted image processing and information extraction, and a customer-facing showroom integrated into over 300 websites. I also developed frontend and backend features for the dealer management system, including the design and architecture of the shared REST-ful API and the platform integration system to one of the biggest markets in the world.
I led the Kubernetes architecture and CI/CD rollout, including logging, monitoring, and alerting, substantially improving availability (over 4 nines) while also cutting costs. I introduced code reviews, mentored colleagues, and documented release workflows and operations.

Gleam & the BEAM
- Lustre
I help maintain Gleam's most popular web framework as a core team member, where I mostly work on engine internals. I also regularly give talks about Gleam & Lustre.
- gleepack
I built gleepack to bundle Gleam and Erlang programs into standalone executables, so people can run them without installing Erlang first.
- crew
crew helps you to queue jobs and spread concurrent work across a pool of workers in Gleam and Erlang.
- iv
I made the fastest "array"-like data structure on the BEAM, natively implemented in Gleam.

Adopting Gleam the Boring Way
Bringing Gleam into an existing Erlang, Elixir, or JavaScript codebase.
What working with me looks like
I enjoy getting to know a team, sharing what I know, and learning from the people I work with. I care about our software and the people using it and want us to build .
When I join a project, I take time to understand the existing systems and the decisions behind them. We can start with a focused review or a small implementation. We’ll agree on the scope and talk through the tradeoffs, including whether a simpler approach would serve you better.
I’m happy to investigate and work independently, pair on a difficult problem, or help your team learn. I value kind teams, direct communication, room to disagree, and documentation that helps the next person.
What I bring to the table
Gleam and Lustre are my focus, but I enjoy getting to know unfamiliar systems and the people who use them. Years of building applications and running them in production help me connect the details to the bigger picture.
