Self
An artefact of my old self-talk is still that I complain a lot about everything; but talking about things I like is way cooler, I'm trying to do that more.
I said, a month ago. Well that went.. well. It was just too much: catching up, work, my secret other work and FOSDEM really took a toll on my mental health. The old demons came back. I refuse to be that person.
Home
I'll be moving this summer! I don't know where but I'll be moving. It's always been my dream to visit the world, and I think I'm finally doing it. Slowly.
Work
I've been self-employed since one year now! My work shifted towards doing more research and AI stuff, which will be my full-time focus for the first half of this year. Of course the dream is still to eventually get paid writing Gleam code.
Open Source
My next projects in no particular order will be gleepack, releasing my website builder / framework, experimenting with subscriptions in Lustre, and finally open sourcing the demo / template apps that some folks comissioned from me last year (thank you so much!) - it's just so many docs to write.
I'll be at FOSDEM and give a talk at Gleam Gathering. I'm likely also going to Elm Camp and Code BEAM Europe later this year.
Hobbies
Since joining the Gleam community I really enjoy doing open source! Unfortunately, that kind of means that my hobby and my work are very similar, and I stopped doing much else otherwise.
So right now I'm trying to change that! I started learning yoga and knitting. I also hope I can get back into doing more creative writing, music making and arts again this year.
This is a /now page, inspired by Derek Sivers. It's a place to share what I'm focused on right now, as opposed to a static bio. If you have your own site, you should make one too.
